Another cup for the Port 22 bodies contested the annual Bute v Port Bannatyne golf trophy,and the Port team having home advantage were just favourites to win. With the results coming in slowly it certainly looked like a Port victory in style, 3up after 3 then a halved match gave the Port the trophy, but just to make sure they took the last 2 matches as well. I MacDougall then presented the Port Captain R Jardine with the trophy. |

Although the island lies in the Clyde Estuary in the south west of Scotland—and is therefore easy to reach—the Higland Boundary Fault runs neatly through the middle of Bute just a few miles south of our course.
