Port Inn Winter League Week 2 Port Inn Winter League The competitive edge of this season's Port Inn Winter League is already showing with only 3 pairings out of the 24 on maximum points. The experienced pair of Preston & Macleod saw off Pete Manvell and Steve Howrie by 3&2, while, in the same league, Steve Officer & Jim Muldoon held off the challenge of a single Greer by 5&4. This leaves both these pairings at the top of League A. In League B it is the Jimmy's Dunn and Standaloft that have the maximum six to be sitting at the top while in League C 3 pairings have 5 points. Beattie & Jardine, Driver & Barnsley and Pedder & Black. Early days yet though!! A hundred thousand welcomesPort Bannatyne Golf Club is located on the beautiful and historic Isle of Bute, in Scotland. It is an ancient, distinctive, and hospitable golf club where green fees are affordable and visiting golfers are made most welcome. Our gaelic greeting ('Ceud Mile Failte') is symbolic of scenery and atmosphere. Although the island lies in the Clyde Estuary in the south west of Scotland—and is therefore easy to reach—the Higland Boundary Fault runs neatly through the middle of Bute just a few miles south of our course. So the vistas and landscapes that surround you while playing are truly Highland in their characteristics.
